Nelson Tabingo joined the Central California Conference team as Treasurer several years ago . He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Mountain ViewCollege and a M.A. in Business Administration from Far Eastern University. His experience spans a multitude of countries, continents and cultures, providing him - and thereby, us - with a wealth of knowledge and leadership skills.
Mr. Tabingo began his full-time service to the church in 1969, at Mountain ViewCollege in the Philippines, as an accountant and part-time instructor, where he also met his wife, Lucille. He worked at his alma mater until 1980, serving first as Treasurer, then Associate Business Manager. The Tabingo family’s next assignment was Middle EastCollege in Beirut, Lebanon, where he served as Chairman of the Business and Liberal Arts departments for four years. From 1984-1991, he was Secretary-Treasurer of the Middle East Union, headquartered in Nicosia, Cyprus. And in 1991, the Tabingo family moved across the ocean to Oshawa, Ontario where he served as an internal auditor and then as Treasurer of the Ontario Conference.
The Tabingos have three grown daughters: Nelu, Julie and Cyd, and are the proud grandparents of one grandson, Ethan.
Florina Morales, Secretary to the Treasurer
Florina enjoyed her work as a medical lab assistant and was uninterested in the call to work with Hispanic ministries at the Conference office. But then a strange thing happened. She began to dislike the job she’d loved for years. Perhaps God was calling her to CCC! She joined the Hispanic Ministries department in 1998 and hasn’t looked back. “I’ve been blessed here,” says Florina, a native Spanish speaker, “God is so good!”
In October 2007, Florina moved to the Treasury department. Her responsibilities include assisting churches and schools with loan applications, processing parsonage reports, general office duties, and assisting the treasurers. She also helps churches and schools save money on taxes by sending out (501)c (3) letters to businesses they are making purchases from.
Family is important to Florina. Her husband Victor works with special education in the public schools. Their son Victor graduated from FresnoState with an accounting degree, and daughter Ivey works at the conference office and plans to take nursing. Outside of work, Florina enjoys cooking, reading, walking, bicycling, and traveling.
Her favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 10:13, “It encourages me to know that the Lord will not give me anything I cannot bear. He will show me the way, He will lift me up and help me through anything."
